We are testing a new App and Firmware version to replace the current version 4.95 (and remember after the update to 4.95 to calibrate and then reboot dealer and tablet before playing)
We have made two observations
- An updated calibration have as expected a clear positive impact on card code recognition related errors - like 89 and 98
- An updated calibration improve cards lifespan - as it improves the reading and dealing of worn out / old cards.
But we also observed, that we have made the calibration process with two sorted deck of cards to complicated - therefore, we are testing a new 4 card calibration option as a faster alternative. We have also improved auto calibration and reduced the requirement to calibrate after an update. We also keep an improved 2 deck calibration as a the detailed option.
We have tested the new 4 card calibration with our bad test cards - examples shown below - and these bad cards could be read on 89% of our test dealers based upon the 4 card calibration and an even higher % when using a two deck calibration.
In other words - Please be patient - we want to test for a few days more before we launch!

A new "Premium" version
and a new "Select" version.
We had the first public presence of the two new dealers at the Danish Bridge at Schools Organisations Jubilee tournament yesterday (as a sponsor) - but we started showing and telling during the Holiday Season and have received tremendous feedback especially on the 26% to 33 % cheaper Select dealer.
The Select dealer only weighs a 1.2 kilo (a bit more than half the Primum / Classic dealers) - a weight reduction made possible with the simpler lid design and the casing made in plastic. The Select dealer have noise / vibration reducing material in the lid and both dealers have noise / vibration reducing material mounted on the stepper engine as well - to mention one af the changes made.
