“All is vanity . . . all things are wearisome . . . there is nothing new under the sun.” Thousands of years ago, a man known only as The Preacher – Ecclesiastes, or Kohelet in his native Hebrew – wrote these words about his struggle to find spiritual meaning in life. How do we respond to his challenge? The sermon topic was requested by Weijia Cheng, who won “You Choose the Sermon” in the UUCPA Auction and is today’s guest Worship Associate.

Go out into the world in peace,
Be of good courage,
Hold fast to what is good,
Return no one evil for evil,
Strengthen the faint-hearted,
Support the weak,
Help the suffering,
Rejoice in beauty,
Speak love with word and deed,
Honor all beings.
