Thank you!

Your generosity in 2019 helped to accomplish so much for land conservation in Shasta County! This past year has been full of milestones and growth that will have a lasting impact for years to come.

Let's look back at some highlights from Shasta Land Trust this past year:

An easement was closed in Fall River Mills, CA. This land will now be forever protected thanks to partnerships with the Fall River Valley Community Services District, Pacific Gas & Electric, and the Pacific Forest and Watershed Land Stewardship Council.
Shasta Land Trust closed an easement on a 48-acre property located on Cow Creek. This was the seventh easement closed by Shasta Land Trust in the Cow Creek area.
Deidre Monroe was hired as a fulltime Conservation Projects Manager. She is responsible for developing and managing land projects, assessing potential conservation properties, grant writing, and assisting with the negotiations and drafting of conservation easements.
Kayla Finck was hired as a fulltime Stakeholder Relations Coordinator. She is responsible for fundraising, communications and donor relations, fundraising events, social media, and all office related activites.
2019 was a great year for our Student Internship Program. We were able to work with several students in our community to give them an opportunity to learn about local land conservation.
Thanks to our dedicated volunteers in 2019, we made several trips out to our adopted trails where we were able to contribute to a cleaner environment for our plants, animals and members of our community.
Shasta Land Trust's Executive Director, Paul Vienneau, was accepted into the Wentworth Leadership Training program through the Land Trust Alliance. Through this program, he has been able to further his leadership training in addition to staying up to date with changes in the land trust community.
Staff at Shasta Land Trust attended the Land Trust Alliance Rally 2019 Conference in Raleigh, NC. This was an incredible opportunity to learn valuable knowledge about the land trust community and apply new skills directly to our local organization.
We would like to sincerely thank all our donors and volunteers who have helped Shasta Land Trust throughout 2019. You have made a significant impact in our community. Together, we will accomplish even more in 2020! Thank you again. We wish everyone a Happy New Year!
