COUNTY ENTERPRISE ZONE RENEWED FOR 5 YEARS
The Virginia Enterprise Zone that Isle of Wight County has shared with the City of Franklin and Southampton County since 2011 has been renewed for five (5) more years. The program aims to stimulate economic growth and revitalization through state and local incentives for new investment and job creation. The County has three subzones which include Shirley T. Holland Intermodal Park and the International Paper Campus. Staff is working on a proposal to expand the zones, especially in the Camptown area. Visit the Economic Development website for zone maps and more information on how businesses can qualify for state and local Enterprise Zone incentives.
