I wishing you a very happy, peaceful and healthy New Year to you, your family and your friends.

2020 will be the year of the activist and I would like to suggest you make the resolution to join the3million team and become a voice for EU citizens in your community. 

We, EU citizens in the UK, have lived with deep uncertainty about our future for 3 1/2 years, and we start the new year with a huge worry: the country we call home will not be an EU member state in a month’s time. I am also thinking of my British friends in the EU who are facing a similarly uncertain future.

Since 2016, the3million has been a saving grace for so many of us, giving EU citizens a voice and giving the UK government enough food for thought to provoke policy changes and U-turns over its unfair immigration policy. For example, the Settled Status scheme is free, thanks to the3million.

By joining the3million, you can make a real difference at a local and national level. For example, you can:

• Be the3million coordinator in your local community
• Become a spokesperson for the3million with local, regional and national media
• Fundraise for the3million in your local community
• Grow the3million network with influential people in your region
• Join the national EU27 activists' team and attend monthly activists meetings in London or online
• Lobby your local MPs
• Organise your local the3million group 
• Represent the3million with your local council
• Support the3million’s national campaign
• Help EU citizens in your community with their Settled Status application by joining our spinout charity Settled.
