The Augusta Jewish Museum would like to wish you and yours a great and abundant 2020. Happy New Year!!
Greetings of the Season to all of you.

Antisemitism is on the Rise

We take a moment to acknowledge the recent hateful acts of antisemitism and other faith based attacks with this statement from the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Augusta Jewish Federation which represents the CSRA community.

The statement reads:

“These attacks represent a total disregard for fundamental Constitutional guarantees and basic human morality. They also call attention to the growing number of violent anti-Semitic attacks in our country, a reason for great concern in our community. We urge law enforcement agencies to take all necessary measures to stem this wave of anti-Semitic attacks, which represents an attack not only on Jews but on the fundamental freedoms and guarantees of our society. We ask our fellow Americans to stand together against hate crimes and terrorism.”

In the statement, it states that this incident is the seventh attack against Jews or presumed Jews since the beginning of the Holiday of Hanukkah."

Statements on additional antisemitic attacks can be read here.
