Lots of building going on
The unseasonably warm December weather has allowed us to start construction on another stacked flat. Workers have also poured footings for a duplex and closed in a new garage across from the common house.
Two 800-square-foot homes are available in the newest stacked flat building, one on the upper level and one below. There is still time for new members to select finishes, including flooring, cabinets and lighting in the unsold flats. Completion is expected in the summer of 2020.
In addition, one 670-square-foot home is available in the stacked flat building pictured below. The remaining three flats in that building have been sold and new owners will be moving in shortly.

Film night documentary: Living Soil
Friday, January 17
6:00 p.m.
Prairie Hill Common House
140 Prairie Hill Lane
Join us on January 17 for a showing of Living Soil, an inspiring 60-minute documentary directed by Chelsea Myers and Tiny Attic Productions.
The film explores what will be asked of our soil in the next forty years. Consider these facts:
"Our soils support 95% of all food production, and by 2060, our soils will be asked to give us as much food as we have consumed in the last 500 years. Soil filters our water. Soil is one of our most cost-effective reservoirs for sequestering carbon. Soil is our foundation for biodiversity."
We will have childcare available. Hope to see you there!
