Monthly affirmation
In any adversity, there are seeds of an equivalent or greater benefit.

Well what a year so far....

I want to present a challenge to you for the rest of the year...that is more 3 months.
With the year we have had(some more than others) I want to switch your focus in your brain.  I want to to become AWARE of what you are doing when you are doing it.

So many habits we just do, no thought, intention or other skill involved.  Think about it(no pun intended), you don't think when you Brush your teeth, wipe yourself, eat, poor a drink, lift a cup, use a knife, go up stairs...etc.  What I want you to do is BECOME AWARE of how your body is working or NOT WORKING.  Try using your NON-Dominant Side of your body for all things that you can. Start slow, like brushing your teeth, or hair.  Then add something else after a few days.  Things like vacuum with non-dominant hand/side, scoop poop in other hand, wipe your tush with non-dominant hand (this one is super challenging at first!) 

My point is, we go through the day, most of the day without thinking about what we are doing-NO INTENTION.  Make it your intention to learn to use the other side of your brain and body by trying this simple exercises.


Awareness and Using your Brain IDEAS
Are you programmed into doing the same things day after day that you don’t even think about it.  Let’s change that.


Eating with non-dominant hand
Wiping tush with non-dominant
Stirring or mixing (eggs, batter etc) with non-dominant
Putting pants on with other leg first
Taking sports bra off crossing arms other way
Putting other shoe on first
Putting dishes away with other hand
Using phone in non dominant hand for texting
Going up the stairs with other foot first
Cleaning counters with non-dominant
Vacuum with non dominant
Draw or Write with non-dominant
Cut something(not very hard and watch your fingers) with non-dominant hand-like lettuce, cabbage etc.
Brush your teeth with non-dominant hand
Use keys for house/door with non-dominant hand

 
What other ones have you done or can add to the list.  I would love to know how it goes for you! 
I have been doing it for about a month and still have to stop and think about my intention and how to get my other side to do what I want it to do!
