Hello my friend, <<First Name>>   If you're new here WELCOME & thank you!

With the new year I have changed the format of my newsletter, and as I think there's a few new faces here and it's a lot to take in if you're not expecting it (Explained below after the new Tarot Card photos).

I'm giving away a Slow Holler Tarot Deck!

A personal life update

With the arrival of a new calendar year, to me it doesn't feel like a new year till it warms up - Partially because I arrived in Canada in spring, and partially cos in the southern hemisphere winter is the middle of the year. Gloomy and wet feels weird butting up against holidays, celebrations and festivities!

However, it feels like I've come to announce new year's resolutions. Ironically they're more like resolutions from YEARS ago, in the planning, finally coming to fruition just now - eeeep!

1 - I'm giving away a copy of the SLOW HOLLER TAROT DECK!! You can enter as many times as you like, all you have to do is consent to be subscribed to the Queer Tarot newsletter.  It only comes out occasionally, and generally has info on what I've been doing for the Queer Tarot project and if it's not for you you can leave it in the future. ENTER HERE!

2 - I've finally got the Kahuna's together to launch a Patreon account for the Queer Tarot Project.  Why? I started a Patreon to enable me to keep the QueerTarot.cards and all the card transcriptions publicly available, to contribute to travel costs for those who want to be photographed, and scholarships to local witch camps. Your contributions assist with the creation of the video interviews, a documentary about Queer Spirituality and my stretch goal of a Queer Tarot app you can use on your phone. Contributions will also pay the occasional community contributor to write articles about tarot and queerness.

3 - I finally filmed a usable "What is the Queer Tarot Project" video which although is designed for Patreon, really summarizes what my goals are for the project and gives a weeeee look at the kind of videos I'll be eventually making for every-single-damn-tarot-card! I've done several records and re-records of it, and gah has it been a confidence roller coaster of a journey.  But I feel like my visual storytelling skills have sure improved in the process!!

The latest Queer Tarot Cards
NEW QUEER TAROT - The King of Wands
This is Phoenix. When I met them at a party in Vancouver over a year ago I knew they were a witch.  A drag performer and now one of my precious queerdo friends this was a cool shoot to do. Combining photos I took with Photoshop, and photos they had of themselves in both femme and masc drag as well as some extra "atmosphere" was sooo fun! I'm looking forward to sharing their story ♡
NEW QUEER TAROT - The Queen of Swords
Growing I travel to as many places as I can to shoot people but this is one of the first cards I didn't shoot only edited. Once the interview is transcribed I'll add their links and credits, as I'm so damn grateful for having this happen.
this is taken in Sydney Australia.  This amazing human rescued me the day I came out and moved out of my ex boyfriends house with a suitcase and went straight to the local rock bar. I lived with her 2 months till I was back on my feet and I swear this saved my life. Thank you Tamora! ♡
Welcome: To my storytelling bit:

I started this news letter yyyeeeaaarrrsss ago, when I first started traveling, before I had started the Queer Tarot cards project... so there's been some change and some things that have stayed the same over that time.  The newsletter is about my life, and as a creative person, that directly effects the Queer Tarot card project I'm working on.  I'm finding myself as a storyteller, and definitely growing as a person.  If you're interested I'm a Sagittarius, Capricorn, Pisces moon...  I think that reflects in the wobbly trajectory this has taken and the emotional roller coster of ups and downs I go through with it.  I'm grateful to still be sticking at it and really seeing the progress I'm making.

I'm reformatting the layout of my newsletter for the new year!

1st section - New Tarot cards, and instead of little excerpts of the card transcriptions I'm going to tell you something personal to me about each one.
2nd section - Story about my experiences - I think this might be an important switch to not put this first as I'm guessing people who haven't met me in person, may simply just be interested in the Tarot project and I am very grateful for that and want to give it the importance it deserves.
3rd section - Travel / adventure photos! I live in a Van and adventure a lot and love sharing the places I go, my sense of wonder and curiosity with you all.
Travel / Adventure / #vanlife photos
These photos are from my Trip to Philadelphia, I've come here again this year over December - January to see my family, and on this trip take my aunty out for her birthday.  We've done a bunch of cycling up the Skukill River of Philadelphia. (Which is apparently a word of Dutch origion. "Kill" means river.) It's been cold and wet but no snow yet - booooo. At this rate I doubt any will arrive before I leave now.

Hopefully by the end of this trip I should have 4 or 5 additional shoots here in the USA!! I can't wait to eventually get to go down the West Coast too!!!

I really hope you enjoyed this new newsletter style and content. That it balances the emotional self expression that I appreciate sharing with you all and sharing the output of my creative work.
