"I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." - Philippians 1:6

It's that time of year.  Hopefully life slows down for us long enough to look back on the past year and see what we have accomplished.  And make plans for the next year to finish what we started and set goals for projects that lay ahead.

As we are reviewing 2019, we are looking through all the things God has done through True Impact Ministries this year.  Let's start this newsletter by reviewing a few of those incredible projects both large and small.

Pictured above is the home we built for Brian and his grandmother.  Brian has hydrocephalus and has had at least one stroke.  He is cared for by his grandmother who is blind.  Brian has been in the care of Pastor Alex at Salem Children’s Centre since he was a child (He is 26 now).  Last year he was living with his aunt, but they needed a new place. Thanks to the love of a TIM donor, we were able to build them a new home, kitchen and bathroom.

Another great accomplishment shown in the pictures below was creating a craft room for the children at the Hoffman Home.  One of our board members traveled to Jinja and bought supplies and sewing machines.  We also got the room cleaned up, added shelving and a door with a lock.  There are more than 50 children at the home who can take advantage of the craft room.  The clothing and crafts the children are making look fantastic.

Another project completed early in 2019 was building a new playground for the children at Truth Christian School, completed thanks to help of a generous donor who saw the need posted on our website. The children had no play equipment at all and now you can see in the picture below they have a wonderful playground with swings, slides, teeter-totters and other fun stuff.

Also completed at Truth Christian School was the girl's dormitory, pictured below, and the installation of electricity in the school buildings and the girl's dorm.  That will make studying on a cloudy day or in the evenings easier.

In July, we were able to help Maranatha Integrated Schools Project with bore hole (water pump) repairs at their school in Kigalama.  We built the well a few years ago, but the pump has been broken for some time now.  Thanks to the help of a generous donor, the school now has access to water from the well, instead of needing to bring it in from the nearby village.  You can imagine how this will help the children, the teachers and the cooks at the school.

One more project that True Impact Ministries worked on during the year.  We got a good start on this one.  During our trip this past June we started construction on a dormitory that will have room for 100 boys.  Once finished the boys will finally be able to move out of the old farm house.  We have the building up, a roof on and windows in.  We need to complete the veranda, the floor, electricity and a shower space.  These expenses total approximately $18,000.  We need to do these things in order to open the dorm up for the boys.  Having the dorm completed will be a huge step in making the school self-sufficient as they will be able to bring in more paying students.

As we wrap up 2019, we look forward to 2020.  God has placed a list of projects on the hearts of the leadership of True Impact Ministries.  They include finishing the boy's dorm, adding to the craft room, building two latrines, one for the boys at Truth and another for the children at the Hoffman Home.  We would also like to paint the Hoffman Home and expand the usage of the farmland at Truth so the farm and the school can become self-sufficient.

We can only do these projects and start the decade strong through the help and direction of our Lord and with your help.  Please visit www.TrueImpactMinistries.com and click the DONATE button.  Make it happen for the boys and girls at the schools and orphan homes we support.  .

"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
