Hi there!

This is the 27th full month that I worked on Listen Notes full-time. Happy New Year!

Product updates

1. Improved Listen Notes for Chrome - the official Chrome extension of Listen Notes! When you visit a website, the Listen Notes browser extension will tell you if there are podcasts from this website --

I still have a lot of work to do to improve the data quality and the coverage of websites. Stay tuned!

2. Launched Listen Notes for Edge - the official Edge extension of Listen Notes!

3. Added reCAPTCHA to further fight malicious bots!

4. Added a wizard UI for API application form. Turns out popular APIs all need to have such application form for new users, otherwise tons of malicious people / bots will sign up and abuse your API!

Company updates

I've been traveling in Asia for 20 days or so this month. I met some new friends, ate a lot of delicious food, and got tons of inspirations on the way. And it's delightful to work in WeWork coworking space outside USA -- I hope WeWork won't die too soon :)

Today is the last day of this year (and this decade)! I'm glad that Listen Notes survives one more year. I'm still having fun to make podcasts more accessible (via the podcast search engine website & API) - most people in the world still don't know what's podcast! We have a lot of work to do to increase "ear time" and decease screen time!

If you want to do some brand marketing for your podcasts or products related to podcasts/audio (e.g., podcast hosting service, smart speakers...), you can consider advertising on Listen Notes. We have plenty of inventory for 2020.
