January 2020 Newsletter

From Mr. Phillips, Head of School

Happy New Year!! As we enter 2020 and the second half of the school year, we are already preparing for our 2020-21 school year. Our theme for next year is FOCUS 2020.

FOCUS is an acronym for:
Fix your eyes on Jesus
Observe who is in front of me
Compassionate encouragement
Unite with the Body of Christ
Serve selflessly

We have had a great year so far this year and we are already excited about the next school year. Our passion is to fulfill the mission of Curtis Baptist School which is to “infuse a Biblical world view in all areas of academics, fine arts, and athletics, developing bold and devoted followers of Jesus Christ.” We love our students and want to create an environment where learning is fun yet challenging
and at the same time while they learn, they learn from a biblical perspective. We have restructured our tuition schedule, published our discounts and have added a new loyalty program. We are working to implement more opportunities for our
students so that the educational experience as well as extra-curricular activities will be even more enjoyable for the students. We want our students and families to feel as if Curtis is home and one day look back on the school experience here as one that they loved.

With that said, we will be having our Open House on Thursday, January 16, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. If you know of any families that are looking for a Christian school, please recommend them to come to Curtis.

Re-enrollment for the 2020-21 school year will begin January 31, 2020. There is a $100 discount on the registration fee for those CBS families who complete the re-enrollment process by February 28, 2020. Secure your spot early as some of our classes filled up last year. We do not want anyone that is currently a student to lose their spot for next year.

We are thankful that you have partnered with us and hope that you will continue to partner with us here at Curtis Baptist School.

- Mr. Scott Phillips, Head of School

CBS Open House

Open House: Thursday, January 16, 5 pm - 7 pm

Open House is a wonderful opportunity for new families who would like to know more about attending Curtis Baptist School in the 2020-21 school year. Families of rising kindergarten through rising 12th grade students will be able to tour the CBS campus, meet with teachers and administrators and learn more about the admissions process. If you know of a family who is interested, please let them know about Open House on Thursday, January 16. For more information they can contact Deb Ulrich in the Admissions Office at admissions@curtisbaptist.org.

CBS Homecoming

Homecoming: Friday, January 31 (Games starting at 4 pm.)

A special invitation has been sent to CBS Alumni as we recognize our 55th year. If you are an alumnus and did not receive the alumni letter, it means we do not have your current address. We would love to send you an invite (includes a pass for you and a guest for the basketball games). Please send your current address to Mr. Scott Phillips (sphillips@curtisbaptist.org), and you will receive one in the mail. Information will also be included about the alumni dinner to be held that evening. We are looking forward to presenting the 2019-20 Homecoming Court, catching up with alumni and watching some great basketball games.
