This applies to gasoline or light fuel oil (diesel fuel).

Eligible farming activity means either of the following:
  • the operation of eligible farming machinery on a farm for the purposes of farming
  • the operation of eligible farming machinery for the purposes of going from a location at a farm to another location at a farm
Eligible farming machinery means property that is primarily used for the purposes of farming and that is a farm truck or a tractor.

Once completed, give the original certificate to your supplier and keep a copy of this certificate with your records. The form does not need to be provided to Canada Revenue Agency.

FEE STRUCTURE CHANGES

Certified Sustainable Beef Framework

When the structure for the Certified Sustainable Beef Framework's Claims and Logos was launched in September 2018, CRSB committed to reviewing the fee structure associated with that process after one year.  In April 2019, a working group was established to assess the fee structure and make recommendations for changes.

The Working Group consisted of CRSB members representing organizations in production, packing, secondary processing, distribution, food service and retail.

The following criteria was followed to guide the assessment of the fee structure:
  1. To create a simple, easy to understand structure that facilitates participation in the certification framework;
  2. To create a fee structure that lowers the barrier to entry and encourages participation of smaller end users;
  3. To implement fees that reflect volume of beef from CRSB Certified sustainable operations rather than company size;
  4. To avoid excessive administrative burden on supply chain participants and CRSB, and
  5. To strive for full program cost recovery (over the long-term).
Based on the recommendations of this working group, CRSB Council has adopted changes to the Framework's fee structure, which are outlined below.

The new structure will take effect January 2, 2020.

Product-Specific Claims

The fee structure for companies wishing to make product-related CRSB Claims and use one of the Certification Marks will be a new volume-based model.

Fees:

The packer will remit a fee of $0.03 per lb. ($0.0661 per kg) of beef SOLD with a CRSB Claim to the CRSB twice per year.

A cap will be applied on annual fees paid by a packer for any individual customer that exceeds one million pounds of beef with a CRSB Claim in any given year. No logo use or participation fees will be applied to downstream users.

Sourcing Commitments

The criteria for making sourcing commitments and using the CRSB Supporter Trademark have also changed.

The CRSB Supporter Trademark is designed for use as an off-product claim by companies or brands that want to make a public commitment about working towards sourcing beef that meets sustainability standards through the Certified Sustainable Beef Framework.

Fees:

The packer will remit a fee of $0.03 per lb. ($0.0661 per kg) of beef SOLD with a CRSB Claim to the CRSB twice per year.

Use of CRSB Marks and Claims are detailed in the Communications, Claims and Labelling Guide.
