2020 is staring us in the face as we wave goodbye to 2019. I have a new planner in hand, a new calendar is on the wall in the kitchen, and we are planning what needs to be accomplished month-by-month. 

But before the new year, there's always a pause to remember the birth of our Savior. That pause takes many shapes: A time to cozy up on the couch and re-read the familiar and holy Christmas story in the Bible. A time to sigh joyfully while holding a candle up on Christmas Eve. A time to savor a cup of coffee while kids dig through stockings. 

We pray that that pause follows you throughout 2020. We pray that it catches up to you regularly, that you stop to acknowledge it.
