Welcome 2020!

Happy New Year! As we enter the New Year and a new decade, we welcome the energy of new beginnings. May we each be mindful that we are blessed with free will to take responsibility to change our lives, shine our inner light, unfold our spiritual natures and live in greater harmony with all manifestations of Infinite Intelligence.

This month the Summerland Spiritualist Church of the Comforter turns 129 years old! It was January 9, 1891 when our church was originally chartered in Summerland, California. The old church, at Liberty Hall, was torn down for the construction of Highway 101, and in 1951 relocated to our present location here on Garden Street. Happy Birthday to our beloved church and gratitude to those Spiritualists who paved the way, and to those in both the seen and unseen realms who continue to bring comfort and joy and the message that life and love continue!

The new year ahead at our church will be filled with love and learning. We are blessed to have a shining congregation and guest visitors who share their brilliant spirits so joyously. At the end of the month and the beginning of February, we are excited to welcome back from Maryland, our dear friend and mentor, The Rev. Dr. Rosemary Calderalo, NST who will serve our church and present 4 half-day workshops to help us unfold and grow. (see flyers with all the details.)

On January 5, Eva Vega and Michael Staples will share some of their experiences as we explore the subject of the Spiritualist phenomena of Physical Mediumship. And we happily welcome back speakers Maria Marotti, PhD on January 12, Annie J. Dahlgren on January 19, and Pauline Coleman, PhD on January 26.

As we welcome 2020 and a whole new decade ahead, may we release doubts and fears from the past that no longer serve us, and with gratitude for lessons learned, be filled with Infinite Spirit’s blessings, knowing that we are never alone. May we open our hearts and minds to greater understanding, greater harmony, higher wisdom and infinite love.
