January Happenings
The Hillsboro City Library will be closed on the following days in January.
  • Wednesday, January 1. Happy New Year!
  • Monday, January, 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Space is limited to 10 children and their parents/caregivers. Children must be between the ages 1 - 3 years old. Registration is required.

“Let’s Play! Together” is a five-week program for toddlers and their parents/caregivers. This fun, informal, play-based program provides a rich environment of toys, books and art activities. Families have the opportunity to spend time together,

make new friends, and talk one-on-one with a different community resource professional each week.

Let’s Play! Together programs are offered in the spring and fall. The next Let’s Play! Together program will start on Thursday, February 6, 2020 and occur every Thursday through March 5, 2020. Let’s Play! Together will start at 9AM and run approximately 75 minutes.

Family Place Libraries is a nationwide network of libraries that specializes in developing age-appropriate programming that supports the importance of play and healthy parent/child relationships in early childhood development and learning. The Hillsboro City Library is a proud member of this nationwide network of libraries that includes more than 450 libraries across the United States.

Edwardine Malley Chillington Art Gallery: 
The art gallery is located on the lower level of the Hillsboro City Library. The gallery features works of art from local artists.
