MUSIC MEETING: Reigniting Boston Music conversation

Thursday, January 23 at  The Jungle Community Music Club
6 Sanborn Court, Somerville, Mass
Event Link | Ticket Link

Free meeting at 6:00
Live Music at 8:00: $6 in advance, $10 day of the show

We met back in 2016 on a few occasions for something called State of Live Music in Boston. The conversations were good and helped to energize the community. Many found it helpful to talk about what was and what wasn't happening for them. One thing remains clear: we need to talk to one another in person.

January 2020 marks the relaunch of a series of meet-ups I am calling "Music Meeting". On this first round, let's talk about the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) concept and working on a sustainable foundation; old favorites like promoting in the digital age, booking, and looking outside our own genres.

In the coming months, I will take it on the road and welcome others to speak on topics that are important to the community at large.

The good people of Above The Basement podcast will be in the house to record | abovethebasement.com
Join in the conversation with some members of the community in the promotions, performance, marketing, and booking fields.

She can be found blessing many stages performing originals from her EP, Know Your Worth, and her newest single, "Spirit Party" // geniesantiagomusic.com // @genie.santiago

She has toured the country extensively both as a solo acoustic artist and with her band, and has opened for national acts such as Damone, Dorothy, Thunderpussy, and the Damnwells. As founder of Fuel Heart Productions, Johnson runs a media/graphics/booking company dedicated to supporting bands on the rise.
