Email
Word to the Wise

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to those who have partnered, prayed for and faithfully read the emails I send out each month. With each passing year I am determined to use my time more wisely, be a good steward of the resources God has blessed me with and sow into what is growing. With that being said, I will only be sending emails to those who have shown a consistent interest. I pray that those who are interested will continue to be blessed by the content. I want to make this email available to as many as possible, so I must be a good steward and send it to those who have a vested interest. God bless each of you in this new year and may you see and experience God's manifested best in each of your lives.
Blessings!

No Compromise

It is a new year and a new decade! So many things have taken place over the past ten years that are bringing us closer to the culmination of time and the introduction of eternity. Some of us have lost loved ones and some of us have welcomed new lives into this world. Whatever you have experienced in the past ten years has been a transition for you and those around you.

One of the attributes that I so admire about God is that even in an ever-changing world, He never changes. Despite the many changes we all experience in our lives, we can depend on God's stability through it all. God does not go back on His Word. Numbers 23:19 GNT
"God is not like people, who lie; He is not a human who changes his mind. Whatever he promises, he does; He speaks, and it is done."
Hebrews 6:18 NLT
"So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us."

This brings me to this month's topic of "No Compromise".
Let me start this lesson by giving the Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition of compromise
: "to make a shameful or disreputable concession"

I want to encourage you to continue to stand on God's Word without compromising His Word. Do not give in to the pressure of worldly influences or the current culture. Allow Christ to work through you so that people in the world can see an example of integrity. They see enough examples of people who compromise in every arena of life. Be that example the people around you are looking for. Make decisions on a daily basis that are Spirit of God led and based on God's Word, not on how you feel at the moment.
1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV
"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."

There have been times when I have watched people sabotage their own future by compromising the Word of God. God's Word says one thing, but they decide to do what seems easier or more convenient at the time. Things end in disaster when the compromise of God's Word has taken place.

The main reason I want to encourage you to stand on God's Word without compromising it is because of the surety of God's Word. So many people seem to be moving away from a relationship with God and not living by godly principles. But, God's Word is the only thing you can be sure of. His Word is what created all things. His Word is what is keeping all things.
Psalm 33:9 BSB
"For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm."
Psalm 145:13 CEV
"Your kingdom will never end, and you will rule forever. Our LORD, you keep your word and do everything you say."

If you have been placing your trust in people or the world's systems, your trust is misplaced.
Jeremiah 17:5-8 BSB
"This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind, who makes the flesh his strength and turns his heart from the LORD. He will be like a shrub in the desert; he will not see when prosperity comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him. He is like a tree planted by the waters that sends out its roots toward the stream. It does not fear when the heat comes, and its leaves are always green. It does not worry in a year of drought, nor does it cease to produce fruit."

People will fail you and the systems in the world are breaking down all around us. Put your trust in God and don't compromise His Word.
This new year is a new opportunity to stand firm, without fear or compromise and be the representative of God's Kingdom that the world needs and is looking for. No Compromise!
Questions:

1. Are you putting your trust in the correct place?

2. Are you discouraged by the current state of the world?

3. Have you backed down regarding your stand on God's Word?

4. Are you walking by faith or by what you see and hear?

5. Are you willing to be God's example of integrity in the world?
