1. TINY HOUSES IN BALTIMORE

Flier
That's right, I'm graduating this May. Help me with my master's project:

Baltimore City residents are invited to share thoughts on home and tiny houses as part of a graduate research study called “Tiny Houses and the Black Experience in Baltimore.” The study asks ‘What are city residents’ feelings on tiny homes, comparing tiny houses with the traditional housing stock?’ Questionnaire is online at http://bit.ly/tinyhousebalt

All are welcome to respond, even if you don't live in the City!
Thanks Qui!
You're invited to the next listening session is Sunday, February 2nd at 1:30 pm at Clifton Mansion.

Thanks Qui at Smalltimore Homes for a fantastic turnout at the first listening session!

2. JEWS OF COLOR

RSVP | While I can't attend due to a work obligation, I'm excited to share word of a A Pre-Event Reception for Jews of Color prior to "Jewish Community, Race, and Who Counts: An Evening with Ilana Kaufman" on Thu. Jan 30 5:45pm.
Generously sponsored by the Jews of Field Building Initiative. RSVP please. Vegetarian dinner provided. RSVP to Diana at Repair the World.
Thanks Dr. Harriette for organizing a JOC Shabbat Dinner!

3. NOSTALGIA

I Just Can't Believe It
VIEW | I've started a new series of paintings called NOSTALGIA. The first painting in the series was created in one setting in July, called I Just Can't  Believe It. That was a phrase my late mother kept repeating while she was in hospital before she passed away. The self-portrait emotes my mental fray and the weight of mourning. Thanks to my friend, Michael, for inspiring me and providing a safe harbor to create again.

4. JEWISH 20s-30s + JEWISH TIMES

RSVP | Are you Jewish, in Baltimore, and between the ages of 21-39? I co-chair BAYITT, Beth Am's Young-Adult Initiative for 20s and 30s! We're having our first GAME NIGHT on Wed. Feb. 5th at 6:30pm at North Avenue Market. All are welcome to RSVP to Jamie at Beth Am, for a fun night of strategic visioning and food and milkshakes. Pay your way!
VIEW | Honored to be featured in the Baltimore Jewish Times as someone "You Should Know!" Thank you Carolyn and Jesse for the interview! I'm thankful to be a community resource for the Associated's Partnerships Commission; to Beth Am Synagogue to coordinate BAYITT; Morgan State University School of Architecture and Planning; and the State of Maryland!

5. WEBSITE REFRESH

VIEW Everyone loves that feeling of a new hairdo. Last month, I created a new layout for my website that houses my graphic design work, my artist portfolio and my social media archive aka blog. The new website better communicates my goal to provide bold graphics and creative clarity. Though ironically, with all I'm up to, I'm not taking new clients or jobs right now. Still, so fresh, so clean...
