⭐️ Offline Workflow: We’ve extended our workflow functionality with the ability to advance stop and load statuses even if the user’s device is offline. For any workflow action, you can use our new visual workflow editor to define what happens when the action is performed offline so that drivers can still proceed with their workday even if they leave cellular coverage. We’ve also made it possible to define multiple workflows and vary which workflow is used on a per-load basis, so you can have a separate set of offline rules for different divisions, customers, or locations.
As part of this enhancement, we’ve made some key changes to how workflow actions are delivered to your web services—please review the workflow documentation for details.
⭐️ HOS Clocks on Lock Screen and Night Mode: Duty status clocks are now shown during turn-by-turn navigation and when the in-motion lock screen is in effect. This helps your drivers pull over for mandated breaks with time to spare, and it lets them maximize their driving time while still staying compliant. For night time driving, the in-motion lock screen and turn-by-turn navigation interface also now uses a dark color scheme.
⭐️ Text-to-Speech Messages: Messages to drivers can now be read aloud by text-to-speech functionality in the event the driver is navigating or in-motion locking is in effect. When enabled for a particular message, the driver can have the message read aloud with a single tap.
⭐️ Signature Capture Form Field: You can now collect signatures directly in the app as part of an Eleos form. Your web services receive a downloadable version of the signature image alongside any other information collected in the form. This gives you the flexibility to store or combine the signature image with a generated document to suit your needs.
⭐️ Historical Route Search: Look up any route shown to a driver in the last 30 days by username or load number. You can inspect any difficult maneuvers presented to the driver, view the route settings used to create the route, and modify settings to experiment with “what if?” scenarios. In addition, if you’re using our Geotab integration, you can see the actual route driven alongside the planned route.
⭐️ Login Keyboard: If you use email addresses as a username for logging into the app, you can now have the app present an email-optimized keyboard on the login screen.
🔧 The number of Driving Hours Available in Trip Planner can now be pre-populated even if you aren’t using the Geotab integration—just mark the appropriate HOS clock returned by your in-motion status service as limits_driving_range.
🔧 Single-line text form fields can now be marked as non-editable using the form editor. This can be useful for showing a pre-filled value on a form to a user while preventing it from being accidentally changed.
🔧 You can now disable the display of the computed route distance in Trip Planner using the route_options.hide_total_miles flag.
🔧 The composed_at parameter included when inbound messages are delivered to your messaging web service now preserves the user’s local timezone rather than always being converted to UTC.
