Co-op Opportunities

New Funding Announcement

Co-op Innovation Award

Capital Impact Partners is excited to announce a partnership with the National Cooperative Bank for the 6th annual Co-op Innovation Award. Winning organizations will receive a one-year grant of up to $50,000 to advance cooperative development in communities of color and/or historically disinvested communities.

This year, we are seeking out projects that will educate new audiences on the impact and potential of the cooperative model to disrupt income inequality, steward community ownership, and create strong, vibrant places of opportunity.

Priority will be given to food, worker, and housing co-ops, but all sectors are invited to apply. The link below will direct applicants to our Submittable application; you will need to create a free account to access the application. Letters of interest are due February 10th.

If you have further questions about the award, please attend an informational webinar on January 23rd at 2pm or Jan 28th at 2pm. Further inquiries may be directed to apowers@capitalimpact.org

Group Fundraising

Help us reach the first milestone of $1,500 towards our $2,500 goal!

Your contribution will allow us to:

  1. Renew and migrate to faster and more scalable web hosting for DC area co-op projects and businesses, and
  2. Make it possible for co-op businesses and projects to start their own fundraising projects directly through the dcstakeholders.coop web platform!

Contribute to Online Co-op Development!

A big thank you to everyone who has donated so far

Welcome New Volunteers!

Thanks to our new volunteer co-operators for stepping up!

Nikki Brown will assist with reviewing prior meeting notes to gather hidden gems, asks & offers made or referenced by attendees, or any other relevant information to be revisited or shared.

Katie McWilliams will assist with market research by collecting and adding new resources for prospective co-ops or relevant stakeholders to the website at dcstakeholders.coop.

We can use much more support - if you or someone you know has an interest in co-ops, the solidarity economy, community organizing (or would like more experience in these areas) and have 1-2 hours per week to spare, additional needs include support with our:

  • Online newsletter

  • Social media postings

  • Web development

  • Event planning and outreach (offline and online)

Whether you're a digital expert or only use email to communicate, all are encouraged to apply!

Please reach out at mail@dcstakeholders.coop or contact us here if you are interested.
