I'm writing on behalf of CAAA, the Australasian branch of Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology). CAAA is holding a 4-day writing workshop from the 2nd to 5th of February at the Moreton Bay Research Station on North Stradbroke Island, Queensland. CAA Australasia, the Australasian branch of CAA International (Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology), is excited to announce our 2020 Summer Institute!
WHAT
The Summer Institute is an intensive, four-day, residential writing workshop. The goal of the Summer Institute is to produce an undergraduate textbook on digital methods and technologies in archaeology. Digital technologies are an ever-increasing component of all archaeological work, but currently there is no textbook that archaeology undergraduates can turn to which provides a comprehensive overview and introduction to digital methodologies.
COST
Waged: $150
Student & Unwaged & First Nations: $75
The cost includes both accommodation at MBRS and food while there.

CAA Australasia welcomes contributions from archaeologists from across academia and the heritage sector; graduates and students; from experts to people who can chase down references or produce illustrations. If you are interested in participating in the Summer Institute you can register for attendance here - https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/summer-institute-2020-tickets-84668392441
If you have any further questions about the CAAA Summer Institute, please feel free to contact me at simon.wyatt-spratt@sydney.edu.au
