Congratulations to Chris & Geanie Rodgers of Rapid Rope

Don't Miss Them on Shark Tank  - Sunday, January 19
See Rapid Rope on Shark Tank Sunday, January 19
When TechHelp decided in October of 2019 to honor Rapid Rope with our Spirit of Continuous Innovation Award and feature the company at MFG Day 2019, we had no idea what was in store for the tiny upstart. All we knew was that Chris and Geanie Rodgers had worked hard to turn an idea into a cool consumer product that was gaining global attention. When we recently learned that Rapid Rope had earned a spot on Shark Tank, we were not surprised. Having spent time with the Rodgers, we were impressed by their meaningfully unique product, their inventiveness, energy, enthusiasm, and doggedness. We knew they were going to lasso some deals.

Like many inventors, Chris's idea began in frustration and a need for something better. As a passionate Idaho outdoorsman, Chris uses a lot of rope. But when he needed a piece fast, there was none around, it was not the right size or strength, it was knotted up, or he didn’t have an easy way to cut it. Chris knew there had to be a better way. After experimenting with storing rope in Pringles cans and water bottles Chris sought professional help with the TechHelp New Product Development (NPD) Team at Boise State. As a husband and father with a full-time job and a tight budget, Chris was thrilled that TechHelp was willing to work at his pace and budget.

“The TechHelp New Product Development Team at Boise State was willing to work with me at my own pace on little pieces of the product at a time. It was great working with the entire NPD team including the student employees and management. The whole process was awesome”
- Chris Rodgers, Inventor & Founder of Rapid Rope
The Rodgers make Rapid Rope a family affair.
After several years of trial, error, design, re-design, innovation, and iteration a new product was born. Rapid Rope® is a uniquely designed, compact rope dispensing system that neatly stores 120 feet of commercial-grade flat braid poly rope rated at 1,100 pounds of strength. The weather-resistant and shatterproof canister includes a handy “cut” insert that allows the rope to be quickly and safely cut to a desired length. Replacement cartridges are available to make it easy to always have rope on hand.  Chris and the Rodgers family produce Rapid Rope in a shop at their new home that is ready for expansion. Rapid Rope® is patent-pending and currently selling in the United States and Japan, with product samples in the United Kingdom and Australia.
Tune in to Shark Tank Sunday night to see what else is in store for the Rodgers and Rapid Rope!
Don't Delay - Get a Can of Rapid Rope Today!
Add a Can of Rope to Your Pack, Boat, Vehicle, Bike, or Saddle. Manufacturing Specialist "Cowboy" Dave O'Connell of TechHelp and Idaho State University grabbed a can of rope at MFG Day and threw it in his saddle. Later that week, he'd already used it to tie a gate shut on the range.
