The root of all health is in the mind. The trunk of it is in emotion. The branches and leaves are the body. The flower of health blooms when all parts work together. - Kurdish Saying

Aloha <<First Name>>,

We cannot work on our physical health alone. In fact, if put too much effort into fixing/working on only the body, our mental and emotional health may deteriorate. Still & Moving Center seeks to provide you with experiences that nourish and heal the WHOLE YOU! Our first-time-ever Trauma Training with a yogic influence provides a great example of healing from the inside out of the entire human being.

Celebration in community naturally adds to our overall health! Mark your calendars for our 9th Birthday celebraion, March 14th.

No More Back Pain 1 – Feldenkrais® / Smart Moves Workshop with Eva Geueke
Jan 25, 2020 01:30 pm

A strong core starts with a functional, powerful pelvic floor. The pelvic floor facilitates many of our basic life functions as varied as digestion, elimination, reproduction and breathing. Improvement starts with awareness. The movement of the pelvic floor is subtle, and yet it is possible for everyone to feel its effect. Once you can feel the pelvic floor muscles working, you can learn greater control, both in relaxing and contracting.  View Full Details »   Like No More Back Pain 1 – Feldenkrais® / Smart Moves Workshop with Eva Geueke on Facebook

No More Back Pain 2 – Feldenkrais® / Smart Moves Workshop with Eva Geueke
Jan 26, 2020 04:30 pm

The stomach muscles can only be working well if the back muscles are released and vice versa. There is a much more effective way to get all of your stomach muscles to work together smoothly than just doing sit ups. And learn to do so without tightening your back muscles.  Dr Feldenkrais was a Black Belt in Judo. As an accomplished martial artist, he knew how to use his core effectively. He developed many Feldenkrais lessons for students to cultivate... View Full Details »   Like No More Back Pain 2 – Feldenkrais® / Smart Moves Workshop with Eva Geueke on Facebook

The Profound Healing Power of Subtle Movement and Rolling: a Feldenkrais®/SmartMoves Weekend Workshop
Feb 08, 2020 03:00 pm

Feldenkrais®/SmartMoves Weekend Workshop - February 8 & 9. The world we live in is not subtle: we are pushing and ‘efforting’, sometimes for years. We sink exhausted into bed and wake up exhausted. Added to our daily stress, we tend to push our bodies in sport, workout classes, or even in yoga, as we do not remember how to be subtle in inhabiting our bodies. In this workshop you learn subtleness of movement - executed slowly, minimally and with full awareness - as the best way to undo a lot of chronic tension in face, neck and back. An easy rolling lesson realigns the entire spine, shoulder girdle and hips. View Full Details »   Like The Profound Healing Power of Subtle Movement and Rolling: a Feldenkrais®/SmartMoves Weekend Workshop on Facebook

The Profound Healing Power of Subtle Movement and Rolling: a Feldenkrais®/SmartMoves Weekend Workshop
Feb 09, 2020 04:30 pm

Feldenkrais®/SmartMoves Weekend Workshop - February 8 & 9. All of us need to be able to easily roll - minimally to get in and out of bed and our cars. As babies we learned to roll before we could sit or stand. Rolling is a critical skill in connecting our body and limbs again back to the center where it all started. Through gentle, mindful rolling, we will re-activate our powerful coordination abilities. These rolling lessons are executed again slowly, gradually developing step by step... View Full Details »   Like The Profound Healing Power of Subtle Movement and Rolling: a Feldenkrais®/SmartMoves Weekend Workshop on Facebook
