Hey Mama!

Happy New Year! 🎇

I don't do resolutions (they're too all-or-nothing), but I do enjoy the fresh feeling of a new year. So what do I do instead?

  • set a theme word for the year
  • write down my big goals for my business, my family, and myself
  • work backwards to break them down into achievable steps
  • put everything I can into my calendar

It helps me to look forward to the year knowing where I want to focus and prioritize.

How do you set goals? Do you have a system, or is it something you always mean to do but never quite manage? (No judgment. I had a baby on December 26th in 2018 and never quite felt caught up last year.)

If you want to walk through this process with me, we're having a LIVE goal-setting workshop on January 27th in my new Semi-Crunchy Mama™ community over on Mighty Networks. I'll post the recording if you can't make it, too.

The event is free for group members! I'll share my goals and take you through the steps with a printable worksheet and coaching support if you feel stuck.

I'm also working on scheduling some guest speakers on various topics, including how your enneagram type affects your parenting. 🤓

Hope to see you there!

       What I'm listening to...
I'm not a big podcast person (despite having my own) because I don't have a commute! But I started listening at the gym, and these were both interesting.

Liz Plank has been making the rounds talking about her book, For the Love of Men.

I heard her on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard (longer and on a wider range of topics), and It's Been a Minute with Sam Sanders (more focused on the book). If you're interested in how society pressures men in ways that are bad for all of us, you might like these interviews (or book).

Let me know if you listen!

P.S.  I'd love to help you set some goals, MamaJoin us on Mighty Networks and I'll see you January 27th for the free workshop.
