Dates: Mon 23 & Tue 24 March 2020, 11am to 5pm both days
Venue: DoubleTree by Hilton, Ealing, London W5 3HN
A buzzier Ealing Business Expo 2020 is good for your business as well as mine!
Let's get some more people signing up to attend, more people booking exhibition stands, more people interested in sponsorship and more people just talking about the event – if each one of us tells ONE MORE person about the Expo, we will be guaranteed to have a successful event that everyone involved can greatly benefit from.
Here are a few ways to spread the word:
• forward this newsletter by email to a colleague you haven't seen for a while, and invite her or him along by saying: "Let's meet up at the Ealing Business Expo"
• share any of our #EalingBizExpo posts on social media
• copy and paste this text into a social media post: "Are you going to the Ealing Business Expo on Mon 23 & Tue 24 March? Hope to see you there. More info at: ealingbizexpo.co.uk #EalingBizExpo"
• say the following words to someone at a networking event: "Are you going to the Ealing Business Expo in March?" and tell them that you'll be there
Thank you!
(This is an off-schedule email, but there was so much news to share, it all couldn't wait until 23 January!)
1. First speaker slot confirmed
Ealing based author Sapna Pieroux of InnerVisions ID will be speaking on the first day of the Expo on the topic “Build Your Brand, Build Your Business”.
Sapna's book “Let's Get Visible!” will be out later this month – sign up at www.letsgetvisiblebook.com to find out how to buy the Kindle book for just 99p and have a chance to win tickets to the book launch party in February.
Have a look at the Visit page on the Expo website to see the timings of other parts of the Expo, including the five (5!) speed networking sessions.
2. Spaces available at our exhibitor training workshop
The Ealing Business Expo Exhibitor Training Workshop will be held one week from today, on Monday 20 January, 2:00-3:30pm in Ealing, for confirmed exhibitors and sponsors.
A few spaces have been set aside for anyone who is thinking about exhibiting but hasn't yet confirmed, so if you would like one of those spaces, let me know. You can also attend if you would like to participate in the training but are not interested in taking a stand at the Expo. The cost for non-Ealing Business Expo exhibitors to attend the workshop is £20.
And if you need some help making up your mind to join us as an exhibitor, here's our latest article on LinkedIn (published just this morning) which deals with a few of the worries you might have:
The risks of exhibiting (and how to ease those risks) 3. Advertise in the Expo Guide
How about some old-school magazine advertising to reach out to Expo attendees and supporters? The Expo Guide will be published in print as well as online (at issuu.com/contactusealing) in March, and there are still some ad spaces left: £100 for a half-page and £200 for a full page (A5 size).
Exhibitors and sponsors, remember that you all get a 20% discount off advertising. 4. Apply to Expo exhibitor Branduin's "Fit to Bid" programme
Following on from Branduin Business Support's two successful business support and mentoring programmes in the borough of Ealing which were both fully funded by Ealing Council, is another innovative programme, this time designed to train and prepare Ealing's SME-sized businesses to bid for and win supplier contracts for Heathrow Airport, and at Ealing Council.
The Fit to Bid training and mentoring support package, again fully funded by the Council, involves an initial Bid Capability Assessment of each company; Ealing Business Expo participants are invited to apply for a place by completing the questionnaire at: www.fittobid.co.uk
5. Come up and see me at Hounslow Festival of Biz
Expo 2020 exhibitors Hounslow Chamber of Commerce are inviting Ealing businesses to attend their Festival of Biz on 27 February at the Holiday Inn in Brentford, or even to take stand there if it's right for you. Ealing Business Expo will be exhibiting so we can invite Hounslow businesses to come and join us on 23/24 March. I will also be at the Stakeholders' Breakfast, so if you see me, come say hello. More info available at: hounslowchamber.org.uk
