LATEST LASER NEWS
Issue 138, January 2020

Welcome to the January Newsletter

from Dave MacLellan, AILU

Happy New Year!
...and welcome to our first newsletter of 2020 - a very special year for AILU as we celebrate 25 years since the foundation of our association in 1995!

We hope to catch up with lots of our members at some point this year - the big event will be a special ILAS 2020 from 20 to 21 May at Daventry Court Hotel where we will celebrate this milestone anniversary.  Check out the
website for ILAS and make sure to register before the end of this month for the early bird rate.

2020 is also 60 years since the laser was invented, and as the year rolls out, you can expect a fair amount of news coverage about this too.
Theodore Maiman first fired his game-changing ruby laser design in May 1960, and progress in the technology and applications since then has been phenomenal.

Keep in touch and let us know what you would like to see AILU doing in the next 25 years…
