Farmington Valley Youth Cycling
Reach the Podium!
The Farmington Valley Youth Cycling team's second cyclocross season was very successful--particularly in the 9-12 boys and girls age groups, where they had 4 top ten finishers in the overall series including a 3rd place in the State Championship. They fielded 9 riders and most, if not all, are planning on returning in the spring for mountain bike, criterium and the new CCAP adventure/gravel program.
Mountain Bike Season
The FVYC team will be participating in the spring mountain bike season. Boys and girls ages 9-18 years are invited to participate. No prior experience is necessary. The team is an affiliate of the CT Cycling Advancement Program (CCAP). Learn more: FVYCfvyouthcycling@gmail.comCCAP

CT Ranks #21 Bicycle Friendly State
The League of American Bicyclists released their updated Bicycle Friendly State rankings in late 2019. Connecticut moved up 3 spots to #21. The primary focus of the Bicycle Friendly State program is on the efforts of state Departments of Transportation and state legislators related to bicycling. The rankings provide insight on how CT is doing relative to other states, and the state report card summarizes our progress in key areas. Connecticut, we've got more work to do!
