Today: The 10th anniversary of Phoebe Prince's death; Democratic presidential candidates to debate in Iowa; an MFA exhibition on ancient Nubia.

Tonight we have another Democratic presidential debate. This time the candidates are in Iowa and only six have qualified to take the stage. A decade ago, the South Hadley freshman died by suicide after enduring months of bullying by several classmates. Her death prompted lawmakers and school districts across Massachusetts to take up new measures to better protect kids from bullies.

2. Supreme Court Won't Take Up Appeal In Mass. Texting Suicide Case
In 2017, Michelle Carter was sentenced to 15 months in jail after she was convicted in the death of Conrad Roy. In September, she asked for early release and was denied.

3. Justina Pelletier's Family And Boston Children's Hospital Are Heading To Court
She had been diagnosed at Tufts Medical Center with mitochondrial disease, a disorder that affects cellular energy production. But Boston Children's diagnosed her problems as psychiatric.

4. 6 Democrats Debate In Iowa: Here's What You Need To Know
Just six of the remaining 12 Democratic candidates qualified for this debate, making it the smallest debate stage yet. And all six qualifying candidates are white, reflecting the diminishing racial diversity of the field.

5. Here Are The Lawyers Who Will Defend President Trump Against Impeachment
Both White House counsel Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow, a private attorney who represented Trump in the Russia investigation, are expected to make arguments before the Senate. Others will likely rotate in and out.
