On Jan. 2, 2020, the Independent Petroleum Association of New Mexico offered testimony in the Administrative Penalties Rulemaking Hearing in front of the New Mexico Oil Conservation Commission. IPANM pushed for more regulatory certainty, consistency of future civil penalty assessments, and options to avoid costly penalties if operators come into compliance. These efforts benefit all of our industry.
 The fight for reasonable Administrative Penalties is just the first of several critical hearings, legislative efforts, and outreach programs that are needed in 2020 to ensure independents are protected from regulatory overreach. We face two separate Methane Rulemaking Hearings this year, in addition to Produced Water and potential Injection Disposal Well reforms.
To continue to provide services to defend industry, we need your help! Too many operators, service companies, and associated businesses in New Mexico benefit from our work, but do not financially contribute to our efforts. For this reason, we ask that you forward our New IPANM Member Benefits Booklet to your business contacts who may not be members, but continue to benefit from our services.
