Online Rankings and the Year of the Nurse and Midwife.

This morning, U.S. News & World Report released its 2020 online master's program rankings. In addition to our current No. 1 ranking for master's and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs, we are proud to remain top ranked for online programs, earning the No. 3 spot overall and No. 2 within the administration specialty. Whether online or in person, our mission remains to provide excellence, value, and opportunity for nurses through education, research, practice, and service.

This month also marks the official launch of The Year of the Nurse and the Midwife, and we are excited for the global recognition this provides our profession. Even with the strides nursing has made and our rise to leadership in so many facets of health care, there is more work to do be done for health equity, diversity, social determinants of health, and social justice within all communities.

As 2020 takes off, we know that our accomplishments should be celebrated, but mostly they should serve as the momentum to help us move ever forward and push the boundaries.

Sincerest congratulations to all the schools who were recognized in the rankings, and Happy Year of the Nurse and the Midwife to all.
