David Bowie Rules

Seems the MTA has harnessed David Bowie's spirit.

A tribute to music icon David Bowie on the anniversary of his death invited riders at the Broadway-Lafayette Street station to travel to "Station Bowie" instead.  The tribute turned the normal "B, D, F, M, 6" train markers on the station sign into "B, O, W, I E and 4," making it so the sign read "Broadway-Lafayette St. Station To Station BOWIE 4."  Thanks, EV Grieve.

Torien opened in Noho with a 14-course $150 meal

One of New York’s most-anticipated restaurant openings is finally here. Yakitori legend Yoshiteru Ikegawa made his Manhattan debut last week with the 17-seat Noho restaurant Torien at 292 Elizabeth Street, near East Houston St., and is open Tuesday to Sunday 6 p.m. to 12 p.m. The restaurant’s sold out this week, but reservations after 9 p.m. are still available next week..
