Please Pray
for Embracing Age…

At the start of this new decade we are excited for all that God wants to do in, and through Embracing Age.

This time last year we were encouraged with a picture of a kingfisher waiting for just the right time to catch his fish; a picture of waiting patiently, in trust, for God to provide all that we needed. And it was amazing to see Him do just that.

This year the sense we are having is to “let down the nets for a catch” (Luke 5:4). God is going to provide abundantly in new ways as we continue to trust him and be obedient to all that He asks of us. So we’re excited for this new year, and this new decade.

Please continue to stand with us and pray:

  • On January 18th, Tina will be training volunteers for a new Care Home Friends project in Mirfield, Yorkshire. Pray that her journey there is without hold ups, as the timing is quite tight. Pray also that those who come will be envisioned and equipped.

  • We are starting a new, big project on the Isle of Wight. Please pray for the right person to be appointed as the co-ordinator for it. We will be running training on January 25th for our first cohort of volunteers on the Isle of Wight. Please pray that lots come, and that they are envisioned and equipped.

  • On January 28th Tina will be closer to home, training new volunteers for a new Care Home Friends project in East Molesey that is being championed by Tim Blair, one of our trustees. Please pray for a good morning.

  • Please pray for the Care Home Friends projects in Liverpool, Billingshurst and Rowlands Castle as they get going. Pray that they will have a real sense of God’s hand helping them and preparing the way.

  • This year we are celebrating our 5th Birthday and will be holding some events to mark the occasion. Please pray for wisdom as we plan these, and for open doors and opportunities in regard to venues. We're hoping to hold one event at a local theatre and another as a garden party or afternoon tea.

  • Sometimes we have to pray and keep on praying. Please continue to pray for a treasurer for us.

As mentioned above, this year Embracing Age celebrates its fifth anniversary. As we look back on the past five years and reflect on God's goodness to us, we press in for His vision for the next five years with expectation and joy. We continue to depend on you, our invaluable prayer partners, and say a huge thank you!

Our prayer for you is that 2020 will be a notable year in each of your walks with the Lord; a year of growth, progress, and increasing intimacy and closeness with Jesus! Bless you all!

“Now, our God,
hear the prayers
and petitions
of your servant."

Daniel 9:17
