3. Rent Control Brings Big Crowd to State House
After kicking off with warnings from real estate industry leaders that rent control could stifle housing production, members of the Joint Committee on Housing heard hours of personal testimony yesterday from activists and tenants worried that rising prices will force them out of their homes.
4. Correction Officers, Prisoners' Advocates Disagree On Cause Of Violence At Max Security Prison
The Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center remains on lockdown after violence erupted last week, injuring three correction officers. A prisoners' rights group is criticizing the correction officers union for its statement claiming that a new state law is partly to blame.
5. House Set To Vote To Send Trump Impeachment Articles To Senate
The House is also expected to name the impeachment managers who will prosecute the case against Trump in the Senate trial. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has scheduled a press conference for 10 a.m.
