2020 BEST PTO Family Baseball Outing
This year we will be going to see the Lowell Spinners instead of the Boston Red Sox. The ticket prices are more budget-friendly, and the game is perfect for students at both Davis and Lane schools.
The Lowell Spinners will take on the Norwalk Sea Unicorns (formerly the Connecticut Tigers) at LaLecheur Stadium. Our seats are in reserved sections, and each ticket includes a meal voucher. Before the game the children will be invited to parade around the field as part of the pre-game festivities. As always, we'll have transportation available from Bedford to and from the game.
We hope that you and your family will join us at this year's outing!
Click on the button below to be taken to our GiveLively platform where you can place and pay for your ticket orders.
If you'd prefer to pay by cash or check, click here for a downloadable order form.

Please join us for one or all of these special screenings of Screenagers and Screenagers: Next Chapter. Both of these documentaries are only available for viewing at licensed screenings. You cannot see these movies online or through any streaming service.
Screenagers - An award-winning film that probes into the vulnerable corners of family life and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games and academics. The film offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world. We are showing the full film on March 16th and a slightly shorter version recommended for kids on March 19th.
Screenagers: Next Chapter - NEWLY RELEASED - High Stress, Anxiety and Depression are experienced by millions of young people. We follow physician and filmmaker, Delaney Ruston, as she discovers solutions for improved adolescent well-being in the digital age. Viewing is March 24th.
You can find more information and trailers for both of these movies here: https://www.screenagersmovie.com/
These screenings have been made possible through a collaboration of the BEST/PTO, MSPA, BHSPA, and Bedford Promise.

Davis School Morning Arrival Reminders
As a reminder, the school doors open for students as soon as the buses arrive at 8:55 A.M. Please be aware that student supervision is not provided by school personnel before this time; therefore, students should not be dropped off prior to this time. In the morning, students come into the building and go directly to their classroom where their teachers greet them. We ask that parents/guardians do not walk children to their classrooms. This is one of many ways we encourage students’ independence. Our teachers find that they can concentrate on greeting their students best if parents/guardians are not visiting as the school day begins. If a student arrives after 9:02 A.M. an adult must sign in at the office where they will be marked tardy.
Regular attendance is important to learning. When your child is sick; however, please keep him/her home for his/her well-being and the well-being of his/her classmates. PLEASE NOTIFY THE SCHOOL BY 9:00 A.M. EACH DAY YOUR CHILD IS ABSENT OR TARDY. There is a direct absentee line available 24 hours a day for your calling convenience. You may leave a message about your child’s absence/tardy on this line at any time (781-918-4965). When school personnel are not notified by the designated time, and a child does not arrive at school on time, school personnel will make every effort to contact a parent or guardian to ensure the student’s safety. We will use the following procedure if we do not hear from a parent or guardian.
- An automated phone call will be placed to your home phone and cell phone numbers and an email will be sent.
- If we do not hear back from you by 10:15 a phone call will be placed to your alternative numbers, which must be provided to the Davis School office.
- If we still don’t hear back from you by 10:30, a request may be made to our School Resource Officers to visit your home to perform a wellness check.
