The National Council of Urban Indian Health presents 2020: New Opportunities in Urban Indian Health. This conference will take place March 25 and 26, 2020 at Nationals Park in Washington, DC. There will be a pre-conference day on March 24 and a post-conference day on March 27. 

The Pre- and Post- Conference Days (March 24th and 27th, respectively) will provide free trainings for conference attendees to provide more specific hands on information to excel at their roles in Urban Indian Organizations.

Call for Artists Extended

 

The National Council of Urban Indian Health invites Native American artists to submit their artwork to be featured on promotional materials for their upcoming 2020 NCUIH Conference. The artwork should reflect the theme of this year's conference, which is: “2020: New Opportunities for Urban Indian Health”.

Please join NCUIH in celebration of the 2020 NCUIH Conference and submit a high-quality photograph or digital copy of your artwork today.
 

The featured artist will receive $150
or a vendor booth at the conference!


Submissions are due
no later than January 24, 2020.


Artwork can be digital or traditional, as long as the image you submit meets the specifications below. Non-digital art (such as pencil sketches or paintings) must be scanned or photographed in high-quality format to meet the specifications. Submit Artwork

NCUIH Sponsored Capitol Hill Training: March 25

NCUIH will provide a Hill Training available for all registrants on March 25 from 1pm - 2pm.

NCUIH Members ONLY: NCUIH will conduct NCUIH Sponsored Capitol Hill Visits on the afternoon of March 25. NCUIH will set up meetings with legislators from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Capitol Hill. You will have the option to select this during registration.

Non-NCUIH Member UIOs: All UIOs are encouraged to attend meetings on Capitol Hill. Non-NCUIH Members will be responsible for arranging their meetings.

All Other Registrants: While UIOs are on Capitol Hill, NCUIH will hold programming at the Nationals Park Conference Center for conference registrants including a Training on Urban Indian Health 101: Tips and Tricks for Partnering with UIOs, which will provide a venue for federal/government employees, partner organizations, and others to gain a better understanding of the history of urban Indian health. This training will cover how to make meaningful relationships with Urban Indian Organizations and in support of urban American Indians and Alaska Natives.
