Longtime School Board member Bob Schutte celebrated and newly-elected member Cory Johnson sworn in
The School Board celebrated the well-deserved retirement of longtime board member Bob Schutte and welcomed new board member Cory Johnson.

Bob Schutte served from 1987-1993 and 1999-2019. During his time on the board, enrollment grew from 17,000 students to 30,000 students, and the district opened 16 schools! We are grateful for Bob's unwavering support and advocacy of our students, teachers and district.

Incoming board member Cory Johnson is a parent to two students in District 196, a military veteran and is passionate about public education. We are thrilled to welcome him to our team!
