The World Economic Forum, which will be held in Davos next week, will be manifested around the theme “Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World”. It will bring together 3,000 decision-makers, philanthropists and corporate activists from around the world, and aim to assist governments and international institutions in tracking progress towards the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals. At the Davos House we will be presenting the first-ever Blink Test, an eye locked film showcasing portraiture of the world’s last indigenous people made in collaboration with Senthil Kumar and Wunderman Thompson India. The ultimate aim is to provoke thought and spark conversation on the importance of safeguarding indigenous cultures in order to manifest a cohesive and sustainable future.

As an artist, Jimmy aspires to capture the wealth and authenticity of indigenous peoples, before it is lost forever. His intentions are honourable, but this personal vision has become a catalyst for contemporary debate.  After his presence at the World Economic Forum Jimmy investigates the fine balance between art, sustainability, and commerce together with Orwa Nyrabia and Mineke Schippers. We herewith invite you all to join the conversation in De Balie, based in Amsterdam, on the 29th of January 2020.
