Hello, friend!
If you’re one of our regular readers, you know that Austin is full of education-related happenings throughout the year. But the next three months are so overflowing with events that we’ve stepped back and let them take over this entire issue of our newsletter. With school open houses and information sessions for prospective families, education book group discussions, German conversation gatherings, the Education Transformation Alliance's annual school fair, free stuff at SXSW EDU, and much more, there’s something for everyone.
I would like to highlight one special event because, well, I’m hosting it! On Saturday, January 18, at 2pm, I’ll be offering a group workshop for anyone who’s on the verge of, or already in the midst of, exploring local elementary schools. I’ve found over the years that this kind of workshop works best with a small group so that we can comfortably address individual participants’ questions and concerns; as of today, we have just three seats still available. The cost to attend is $35, with a discounted rate for couples or family members registering together. You can find more details and register by clicking on the image below.
If you can’t make it to my workshop on elementary schools this weekend or you’re interested in getting expert advice on middle or high school options, please feel free to contact me to set up a private consultation; I’d love to help you find the right fit for your kid! And be sure to visit our frequently updated online calendar and follow Alt Ed Austin on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, where we often share educational ideas, inspiration, and news you can use.
Alternatively yours,
Teri
