Here you will find all the news you need about the various ministries, classes and general goings on at St. Mark's. We hope you join us!
Annual Parish Meeting
Sunday, January 19th 10am

Join us this Sunday for our Annual Parish Meeting in the Parish Hall!  We will review our work in 2019 and hear about plans for 2020.

We will also elect new Vestry Members! A great big thank you for our outgoing members: Lisa Haller, Hugh Keating and Fant Walker. They have done fantastic work!

Our nominating committee has worked hard to put together a fantastic slate of new vestry members: Matt Grice, Roger Wilder and Mary Nichols. Nominations for additional names will be accepted from the floor. Please attend the meeting on Sunday to learn more about our plans for the upcoming year, receive the 2020 budget plan from the vestry and support both the new vestry members and our continuing group in their work. See you there!

Wed. Night Bible Study: Job
Begins Tonight! January 15th, 6:30pm

We will walk though this book alongside noted Old Testament scholar David Hester. We will focus on the difficult questions raised in Job: where is God in the worst moments of our emptiness? What are we to do when experience casts doubt on what we have always believed? Where in the world is justice? We will look for connections between the ancient text and the world of today, joining in with Job's search for hope and healing.
Rediscovering Christianity

Resumes this Sunday!
January 19th at Noon.

This offering is for anyone seeking God, desiring to grow in the Christian faith, and wishing to participate more deeply in this beautiful faith tradition. Everyone is invited, whether you are brand new to St. Mark’s or you are a long-time member. All are welcome. We will offer a light lunch, provided by participants on a rotating basis. (If you would like to help with lunch one week please contact the Church office or Jo Leopard.)
Cheshire House Project
We will be visiting our new friends at Cheshire House this Sunday from 5-7pm.  We will meet there for dinner and games with the residents. (480 Cheshire Dr, Gulfport, MS 39507 - two blocks from Gulfport High School.) Contact Brent Benvenutti with questions (228) 596-9118.
