Climate Change - teachers twilight
We are hosting a twilight for teachers interested in tackling the issue of Climate Change in Schools. This will be an opportunity to share good practice within the city, find out about resources and workshops available to support you and to feed into the content of a summer headteachers conference about what teachers need to tackle this challenging issue in their school. Build for the Climate - Learning Week

Coming Soon - Rampion Wind Farm Visitors Centre
The brand new Visitor Centre will be located on Brighton seafront, just beside the i360, aims to increase awareness and understanding about the wind farm itself, as well as the importance of offshore wind as a source of renewable energy, with a key focus on climate change.

Tap Water - your thoughts wanted!
BHCC are looking to recruit a small set of students and school representatives aged 10-16 for a short focus group / workshop in early February 2020 to understand more about perceptions of tap water, environmental concerns, opportunities and barriers around drinking more tap water and moving away from sugary drinks and plastic bottles waste in general. Please contact Sarah by 31st January for more information on how to be involved.
Gold Food City Bid - take action as a school
Brighton & Hove have bid to become the first Sustainable Gold Food City in the UK.

Nature 2020
Nature 2020 is a year of events and activities to celebrate and highlight the nature of The Living Coast, as part of the International Decade of Biodiversity. Improving Air Quality Near Schools
As part of their Anti-idling campaign to combat damaging vehicle emissions, Breathe in Brighton collaborated with St.Luke's Primary School in November to hand out leaflets and stickers to provide information on reducing emissions through daily mindful decisions on the road. Sustrans Big Pedal
Sustrans Big Pedal is the UK’s largest inter-school cycling, walking and scooting challenge supporting pupils, staff and parents to choose human power for their journey to school.
Help make our tenth Big Pedal the biggest and best challenge yet.
Sustrans Big Pedal will run for 10 days from 22 April to 5 May 2020 and is open to all primary and secondary schools in the UK, including SEN schools. To register your interest, contact Bike-it Lucy.
