1.  Today Friday January 17th at 10.30am in St Michael & Angels Church, it’s the next Bach to Baby concert – The Four Seasons: Winter, featuring Iosif Purits, accordion. Doors open at 10am. Details and booking.

2. Tomorrow Saturday January 18th from 10-11am in St Michael’s Parish Hall (Raphael Room) it's Yogaplusexercise for beginners and intermediate level (adults). £10 pay-as-you-go (£5 for retirees). 3. On Sunday January 19th at 10am in St Michael & All Angels Church, it’s a Choral Mass.  Mass setting: Little Organ Mass – Haydn; Anthem: Veni Sancte Spiritus – Mozart. All welcome. Preacher: Fr Graham Morgan. Plus Creche (0-3 years), Children’s Church (4-10 years). All welcome.
As you come in, why not tap your card on our Contactless Giving point inside the church doors? We will claim the Gift Aid.
            After the service, at 12.30pm in St Michael’s Parish Hall (Michael Room) there’s a Burns Parish Lunch: traditional haggis, neeps & tatties (veggie haggis available) and a dram of Scotch whisky. Signup sheets at the back of church and an electronic one here (people should only fill in one or the other). Volunteers needed, please, to help set up, clear up etc, and also to bring cold puddings.
            At 6.30pm, it’s Evensong. All welcome.

4. On Monday January 20th from 11am to 5pm at the Catholic Centre, opposite Chiswick Library in Dukes Avenue W4, Better Mental Health in Chiswick presents ‘Blue Monday’ - a day of FREE sociable and fun activities – with handy hints for looking after yourself, greener living and creative sharing. Anyone can drop in to one or all sessions. They include talks on living a healthy life, yoga and mindfulness, as well as poetry and origami workshops. The day concludes with the first of the year’s monthly Read Well Book Clubs, held in Waterstones from 5.30-7pm. Programme on the group’s Facebook page and advertised in the library. 5. Also on Monday 20th from 3pm to 5pm it’s the Café Conversation session at Avanti, Bedford Corner, W4 1LD, organised by Louise Kaye, to encourage lonely or isolated people to have a cup of tea or coffee and chat to others in a similar situation. All welcome.
            On Wednesday January 22nd from 2pm-4pm it’s the next Café Conversation at Cafe Grove, 7 Grove Park Road, W4 3RS.

6. Also on Monday 20th at 8pm (and January 27th, February 4th) at St Michael & All Angels, it’s the second week of the Course on Christian Meditation with Fr Thomas Couper.  Please sign up here or on the sheet at the back of St Michael & All Angels church. There are lots more Mindfulness courses in 2020 at our sister church St Peter’s Southfield Road. 7. On Thursday January 23rd at 7pm in St. Nicholas Church, W4 2PJ, Macmillan Chiswick presents ‘Take Two’ - opera classics meets jazz piano. Tickets £25 including a welcome drink and canapes. Book tickets by emailing liz.rigden@gmail.com.

8. On Saturday January 25th at 7.30pm at St. Peter’s Parish Hall, Southfield Road W4, there’s a fundraising event for the Ballet4Life charity, Move into Wellbeing®. 7pm doors open. “My Journey” is a cabaret evening with esteemed performer Brian Bertscher. 9. On Tuesday January 28th at 7.30 pm at Chiswick Pier Trust, The Pier House, Corney Reach Way, London, W4 2UG, the next talk is The River’s Archaeological Tale by archaeologist Josh Frost from the Thames Discovery Programme. 10. On Thursday January 30th from 8pm to 9pm in St Michael & All Angels Church**, The Upper Room’s 2020 Winter Lecture series opens with Dame Darcey Bussell, in conversation with Torin Douglas. **Note new venue: moved from St Saviour Wendell Park after tickets sold out! Refreshments from 7.40pm. Admission free, donations welcome. Details of all the lectures and booking.

11. On Friday January 31st at 7pm for 7.30 start at St Paul’s Church, Grove Park, it’s the famous St Paul’s Quiz Night. Tables of eight, or come by yourself, and join a ‘pot luck’ team! Bring a hot dish for your team to share. St Paul's provide fruit, biscuits and cheese. Plus cash bar. 12. On Saturday February 1st at 7.30 for 8pm start, it's the famous St Michael & All Angels Charities Quiz Night, with a new format. The traditional quiz is accompanied by cheese, wine and puddings.
