WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH THE COOP

HAPPY NEW YEAR! All of us at the Anacortes Food Coop wish you best health and happiness for 2020 (Chinese Year of the Rat).

Please consider a goal of shopping at the Coop twice a month or more. We are so happy with the layout of the store and are continuing to emphasize local products that benefit our community.
THANK YOU!
SAVE THE DATE:  Membership Meeting Sun. January 26, 4 pm at the Anacortes Library Meeting Room.
We NEED your input! The Coop relies on members to support us, to volunteer and to provide vision for the future. How committed are we to having a food cooperative in Anacortes? How much to we want a retail store open as compared to a simple buying club?
This is a crucial meeting. Please come.
*******   CO-OPALOOZA!!!   ******
Get ready for an amazing night of fun, food, music,  and dance!  This will be a "fun-raiser" for the Anacortes Food Coop at the Depot on Friday night, February 14th, exact time to be determined.
In addition to chocolate, music and art activities we will have a silent auction, so please donate items.  They can be brought to the membership meeting on January 26, call the store 299-3562 or email anacortesfoodcoop@gmail.com for pick up.
This is a Valentines Day, February birthday (especially on Leap Year) and Coop celebration all in one.  JOIN US!!
The Coop is governed by a five-member Board of Directors who represent you. Meet our newest director:
John Morgan has been appointed to fill a term until the General Membership Meeting in April.  He is involved in the community with Open Mic Nights at the library and wants to promote the Coop as a community resource.

LOCAL PRODUCE STILL AVAILABLE

Fresh Microgreens.  Do you know the difference between microgreens and spouts? Microgreens are grown in soil, do not include the seeds and are more developed than sprouts so have more flavor. Some consider they have more nutrition than mature vegetables. We have two local suppliers, Tops & Bottoms and Dahlia Depot.
