EEF Trials Now Recruiting
The EEF is currently recruiting for 7 different trials across England, spanning the early years, primary and secondary phases. They are also recruiting for their first ever trial in special schools. These are an opportunity for settings to be part of building the evidence base and test high-potential interventions, usually at a subsidised cost or for free. LATEST RESOURCES
UPDATED IMPLEMENTATION GUIDANCE REPORT
The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF)’s updated Implementation guidance report – Putting Evidence to Work: A School’s Guide to Implementation – includes a pack of free resources alongside more guidance on how to identify school improvement priorities and make evidence-informed decisions on what to implement. FREE to download from the EEF’s website.
BEHAVIOUR GUIDANCE REPORT
Released in July, Improving Behaviour in Schools reviews the best evidence to help schools make the best decisions about behaviour strategies. This EEF guidance report includes six key recommendations and is FREE to download from the EEF's website.
NEW BEHAVIOUR EVIDENCE REVIEW
Dr Darren Moore led a team from the University of Exeter to complete this review of the evidence surrounding behaviour in schools, which sits behind the EEF’s Behaviour Guidance Report. You can now read this review online here.

PREPARING FOR LITERACY
The extensive evidence base suggests that effective development of communication, language and literacy skills in the early years sets children up to be increasingly successful throughout their school career.

This 3-day programme, led by Anne Harvey, our Primary Phase Literacy ELE, will take delegates through the recommendations in the EEF's guidance report and bring them to life.

IMPROVING SECONDARY SCIENCE
This programme provides an in-depth exploration of the seven accessible recommendations made in the EEF’s Improving Secondary Science Guidance Report, published in 2018. The programme will be led by Rachael Hofgartner, Head of Science at Crispin School and Science ELE for the Research School. Other speakers include Emily Yeomans (EEF - Guidance report author) and Dr Niki Kaiser (Norwich Research School).

MAKING SENSE OF METACOGNITION
Evidence shows that Metacognition & Self-Regulated Learning approaches have consistently high levels of impact on student outcomes, with pupils making an average of 7 months’ additional progress in one academic year. These strategies can be particularly effective for disadvantaged pupils. This 3-afternoon programme is led by Will Smith, our Metacognition ELE and is hosted by NSTA @ Backwell School in North Somerset.

IMPROVING MATHS AT KS2 & KS3
This programme is aimed at primary, secondary and middle school maths teachers and leaders wanting to improve transitions by increasing knowledge of T&L approaches, curriculum and expectations across the key stages. It's also a great opportunity to strengthen links between primary & secondary staff & create impactful curriculum coherence between schools. Led by our Maths ELE Catrin Cross from Oakfield Academy and supported by other experts from the Research Schools Network.
