Unload the tensions of the week and prepare for a restful night of sleep with candlelight and the balancing soundscapes of gongs and crystal singing bowls.
A contemporary spin on a community gathering of our ancestors aimed to open the heart. We begin by drinking a cup of cacao, translating into “heart blood” in Mayan tradition, which tastes like a mildly spiced hot chocolate, as we set our intentions for the session. We then continue with a guided gratitude meditation followed by a sound bath.
Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a meditation practice aimed to induce physical, emotional, and mental relaxation. You will lie on your mat and listen to a sequenced live guided meditation, followed by a sound bath.
Please join teaching artists Shelley Williams, Suzy Nece, Rafael McMaster, and live musical guest Dvine1.
Come join us for an afternoon of exploring where yoga, art, intention, community, great music, and ritual merge. Upcycle your life rhythms and dedicate intentions for the year through movement, meditation, and art.
RESERVE at: Venmo @Shelley-WilcoxWilliams for: Resin event Jan 23

The importance of the sea in maritime communities is evident in the work of three painters: Alex Weinstein, Wendy Stillman, and Marlene Yamada. Their work spans from abstract to representational, and the idea of ocean is represented through specific cultural references, philosophical theories about nature and beauty, and the physicality and motion of water.
Next time you catch a movie at the local
Arclight, slow your stroll and check out the rad art that SBAC artists Wendy Stillman and Emily Brantley have hanging up there!
