Crafting

for Australian animal rescues

Australia is dealing with devastating wildfires as you must know, and rescue efforts are in need. The Animal Rescue Craft Guild is helping collect handmade items for the displaced and rescued animals. There’s a list in the file section of “hubs” where you can send donations within the USA for more efficient shipping to the Australian rescues too. The turnout looks like it’s been massive, and hopefully they keep updating their need list regularly so they don’t get over or under supplied! We're starting to make a couple things, and would love to know if you've contributed!

We hope you check out the lovely crochet designer, Addydae designs. She's in Australia herself and generously donating 100% of her sock pattern sales through the 15th to wildlife and fire rescue support! Her Segue Socks are a part of January's preorder series, so you can purchase your pattern sooner rather than later, but she also has two other beautiful sock patterns you can pick up too. As Californians, the heartbreak of the bushfires hits especially close to home for us. We're thankful for all those working tirelessly and persevering, and everyone making a difference big and small.

Last Call

for January's Outfitter Tour!

Last chance to join this month's Sequoia Grove kits preorder. We sold out of Merino Twist kits, but they're still available for purchase with just a short back-order.
You can still pick-up kits for Tracie Millar's Coffee Talk Socks too! She's based in Edmonton, Alberta... the stunning mountains and nature she's surrounded by! We can't get enough of her magnetic positive energy and her pretty knits!
Preorder by Wednesday!

From us...

I've wanted to learn to weave for years and finally took a class at Hands on Knitting Center this week! I feel like a 5-year-old again and want to show off my new project! We worked on 20 inch looms that we get to take home on loan this week. I'll see how it works at home before spending the money on purchasing one myself. Anyway, this was just so much fun. I combined a Monterey yarn with another fun yarn I picked up at HOKC. I can see making some beautiful runners or pillows, and it's really fun to see a project come together so fast!

Hope you're enjoying your projects, and I plan on joining you all on Ravelry soon!
-Barbara
