UCI Sustainability Winter 2020 Week 2 Digest

Greetings Anteaters,

The SRC is preparing for the year ahead by applying for funding from the UCI Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC). SFAC is a campus committee comprised of students, faculty and staff reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor which recommends allotment of existing Student Services Fee funding. To succeed, our SFAC application needs to describe the impacts of SRC on students. Please take this anonymous and brief survey to help us assess the impacts of SRC services, trainings, internships, working groups, programs, newsletters and other activities.

SRC currently lacks permanent funding for office operations or campus outreach programming. SRC is requesting funding from SFAC to support programs such as the Fall Sustainival as well as annual operating costs. We seek a modest increase in support for the Student Leadership Institute for Climate Resilience program. We additionally seek a modest increase in wages to fund student staff and the Program Coordinator.

The more students fill out the survey, the better we are able to reach you! It only takes a few minutes.

Who:      UCI students

What:     Survey to support the SRC!

Where:   bit.ly/SRC2020Survey

When:    Now through January 24th (it will take 5 minutes)

Why:      To make sure your voice is heard.

Plus you will be entered into a drawing to win a large Hydroflask, a sustainability prize pack, or a $10 Starbucks gift card.

We are glad for all of the ways you help make the SRC what it is. Thank you for taking the survey!
