USED UNIFORM SALE
It’s that time of year when we get to spend less $$$ instead of more by attending the Used Uniform Sale!!!! We always have a variety of gently-worn uniform pieces, sweatshirts, t-shirts and misc. pieces to help get you freshened up for the New Year!
Each uniform piece is $4, jerseys are $5 and items that are brand new with tags are $7.
For even more savings, bring us your own gently-used pieces (none of those pasta sauce white shirts!!) and get $1 off your purchase for every piece you turn in. To pay EVEN LESS, sign up to help at the Sale and get $2 off per piece, PLUS your service hours: https://www.trackitforward.com/site/67261/event/514915.
PLEASE NOTE: The only NON-DENNIS uniform items we CAN accept are pants and possibly some girls’ sweaters. We look forward to getting those kiddos into something they haven’t grown out of yet!

If you have Middle Schoolers looking for service hours, we can use them, too! We can take three (3) 6th graders from 9am-10am, and three (3) 7th/8th graders 11am-1pm. Please note that you MUST contact us ahead of time to secure these spots for your Middle Schoolers and you cannot sign them up through Track it Forward --Service Hours credit will only be given to the students on the list we give Mr. Evans.

ELC 75TH ANNIVERSARY
January 2020 starts our observance of the 75th anniversary year of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Working with our church council, a special anniversary committee began meeting in November to plan celebrations and observances that exemplify our theme, “Honoring the Past – Building the Future.”

Our special anniversary logo will readily identify upcoming events that warmly welcome past and present members of our Emmanuel community. In addition to a commemorative dinner on Saturday, 9/19/2020, we will unite in a special worship service the following morning in our beloved sanctuary.

We encourage everyone to bring us ideas, and we especially invite our youngest members and their families to participate as we look forward to suggestions from all sides. Feel free to share your input with any anniversary committee member: Marshall Bowen (co-chair), Denise Vanzago (co-chair), Carol Bratcher, Terry Bratcher, Karen Carter, Sue Clauss (ex officio), Jamie Hitchcock, Marty McCambridge, Liz Rickertsen, Barbara Vehling, CaroleJean Willis and Jeff Zimmer.
WINTER WEEKEND GETAWAY
ASB WINTER CHARITY
Worthy of Love has been throwing incredible birthday celebrations for children experiencing homelessness in DTLA for over 5 years. When we started our monthly birthday bash there were 15-20 kids (in the only shelter that allows children in Skid Row). Now there are over 250 children staying at the Union Rescue Mission. Our need for support is greater than ever.
We strive to bring hope to homeless children. We believe children deserve to be reminded of their value and potential. We believe by showing them they are worthy of love, they will be motivated to pursue their dreams.
Each and every month since January 2013, the Worthy of Love monthly birthday celebrations have allowed the deprived children living at the Union Rescue Mission a temporary reprieve from the stress associated with not having a place to call home.

EASY WAYS TO HELP LAUREL HALL
EARN MONEY!

Two super easy ways to earn money for Laurel Hall:

1) Ralphs: If you have a Ralphs Rewards card, you can go to Ralphs.com to register your Rewards account and then select Laurel Hall as your Community Program. Linking Laurel Hall to your Rewards card earns money for our school every time you shop at Ralphs. Fun math fact: By spending an average of $400/month at Ralphs, you can earn Laurel Hall around $150/year. If just 100 families enrolled, that’s $15,000! AND...ask your co-workers/family members to enroll too! IMPORTANT: This program requires you to re-enroll every 12-months in order for contributions to continue to go to Laurel Hall School.

2) Amazon Smile: If you log into your Amazon account via www.smile.amazon.com you can select "Emmanuel Lutheran Church-Laurel Hall School" and Amazon will donate money to our school when you make purchases using www.smile.amazon.com.

How easy is that?!
