Youth Grant  Round Cycle Open

There is still time to apply for funding through the Youth Related and Youth Advisory Council grant cycle!
Grant applications are being accepted for projects that directly and exclusively support young people ages 0 – 21. Our
Youth Advisory Council makes reviews and makes recommendations for grants from our Youth Project Fund. 

To qualify for grants from the Youth Project Fund, projects much be designed to serve youth AND involve youth in a significant way:
1) the applicant has youth on its governing board,
2) the applicant has youth on a standing committee,
3) the applicant has youth on an advisory committee who assisted in project design and/or
4) youth wrote or assisted in writing the grant proposal and had input in project design.

New Board Members
We would like to welcome our newest additions to the Community Foundation Board of Directors, Mike Hoffner and Kyle Germann! 
Mike's 40-year professional career revolved around working for and with all the schools in Branch County. At the local level he was a member and past chair of the United Way. He was also a member and past chair of the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on their awards committee. Mike started the Branch Area Careers Center Scholarship program which currently awards sixteen $500 scholarships through the Community Foundation. 
Kyle is a senior at Coldwater High School and the current Youth Advisory Council President.

Valentine's Day Promotion 

You have an opportunity to give a gift in honor of your Valentine or somebody you care about and give back to your community! 

Donate to the Community Foundation's Forever Fund on February 14th, and we'll send them an email wishing them Happy Valentine's Day.

Irma English Music Scholarship Application Available

The Irma L. English Music Scholarship is for any Branch County Schools (Bronson, Coldwater, Pansophia, Quincy, Union City) student who is planning on attending a Michigan band camp this summer!
Applications are available online until January 31, 2020.

Community Foundation Scholarship Deadline
Apply for over 30 awards with ONE scholarship application! We are pleased to provide an online scholarship application platform that helps applicants apply for a variety of awards with a single submission.  Those graduating from or who live in our service area and entering appropriately accredited post-secondary education institution – including trade schools, two-year degree programs, community colleges, and 4-year degree colleges and universities - are welcome to review the eligibility guidelines.
The Community Foundation's Scholarship Deadline is
Friday, March 6 at 3:00 p.m.
