We Hope all of you had a great Holiday and now ready to sew some quilts as the weather outside get's frightful.

What's New at Two Meandering Ladies

We will be at Sargent's Nursery for the Red Wing Evening Star Quilt Show Saturday Jan 1 and Sunday Jan 2 both days are open from 9:00 - 4:00

Quilting Terms of the Month

Fusible Applique- A fusible applique is applied to a quilt or other finished piece using fusible backing. The fusible backing is made of a web that becomes sticky when heated with an iron. For pieces that will not be worn or see daily use, such as a tablerunner or wall quilt, a fusible applique can be a quick and easy alternative to a more traditional applique method.

Needleturn Applique - A needleturn applique is created by hand sewing a design or image onto a quilt block or background. Start by cutting shapes out of fabric, allowing for your set seam allowance around the shape. Turn the seam allowance under as the applique is sewn the the background, in order to hide the stitches

Two Meandering Ladies strives to provide top-notch service, from start to finish on each quilt by offering quilting kits, longarm service, and classes and events.
